Newly renovated (2017) everything in the apartment is new and quite modern. Free WiFi, a TV, a seating area and cable channels. There is a full a kitchenette with a microwave and a refrigerator. There are utilities for six people in the kitchen.
The bathroom is big, bright and has a huge shower. There is a hairdryer and towels are provided.
Right next to the apartment there is a hot tub that the apartment has full access to from 07:00 until 23:00
You can enjoy views of the mountainous landscape from the apartment, or venture out and explore the terrain on foot. There are many opportunities for hiking in the majestic Icelandic nature. The volcano Hekla can be seen out the window (at a safe distance though)

A BIT FAR AWAY, BUT IN THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE
Food and Drink
Just as a reminder the apartment is a few kilometers from the nearest shop. So stockpile a bit.
Drinking
The water in Iceland is fresh, pure and perfectly safe for drinking right out of the tap. Anyone trying to sell you the fact that you need to buy and drink bottled water is just full of it.
But of course having a bottle of water with you while traveling is always good, but you are welcome to fill it from our taps.
The other kind of drinking
If you were thinking of alcohol it is only sold in special stores in Iceland (and bars) that are only open on weekdays and most of them only until six o clock.
I’d definitely recommend the property for location and comfort
The apartment was spacious, clean and in a fantastic location for the Golden circle. Equipped with everything you’d need for self catering, the hot tub was a great extra and lovely after a long day out. I’d definitely recommend the property for location and comfort. The later check out time was greatly appreciated.

Biking & Hiking
Both biking and hiking are of course close by. In Iceland we call hiking a “Labbitúr” and it is basically jus going for a walk, witch you can do almost anywhere.
The biking part is also an option, but we want you to remember ti be carefull. Off road biking in the wrong places can be both dangerous an costly if you go of the path and end up ruining nature. Also there are no official bike paths along our highway so you are close to traffic. So that being said remember to be well light up, have reflective gear, let someone know exactly where you are going, chek in often and enjoy.
And in both cases remember to prepare for any kind of weather. You know the old Icelandic saying. If you dont like the weather now -wait 10 minutes.

Highly recommended, everything there, friendly hosts – simply amazing!
This place is an absolute gem and we highly recommend it! It’s got everything you need and the hosts are unbelievably friendly – they care about your safety and they even provide you tips and a booklet for tourist attractions. Staying here helped us ignore the blizzard we were caught in!
We three people enjoyed very much in the property.
The house is excellent overall, probably the best one among the properties I have stayed in.
Exceptional
We like everything in this house. The decoration is cute, comfort to stay, fully equip kitchen, comfy bed, enough space for us ( 3 persons). The owner come to meet us that make us feel very warm welcome and feel safe. She live in the next house, and welcome to help if we need anything. We had wash our cloth here as the house has washing machine and cloth rail outside. One importance is we had see the nortern light here. The house situated in a wide field and suitable place to see the northern light. Once in a life time. How good luck we are.
Good value for money
We found in Rate South Central Country-Apartment everything we need. The host was really kind and helpful. If I visit Iceland again I will come back here. It’s really comfortable place, we found their tea, coffee, rooms were really clean.
